Where have you been all my life?

I was struggling to keep the conversation going as I dragged the bucket of sloshing water from room to room. “What are you doing?” my friend asked on the other end of the phone. “I’m mopping the floor” I grunted.

“Are you using a bucket and mop?” came the reply with a note of incredulity, “Don’t you have a steamer?

“A what?”

I know, I know..it’s like I’m stuck in time. I’ll admit to vaguely having heard of these things, but actually owning one, or needing one, never entered my consciousness. And so yes, I admit it..I have been mopping with a traditional mop for years and yes, it’s been a pain.. not only that, but let’s face it, you can’t change the water often enough..at some point, you are just spreading the yuck around.

After doing a bit of research, I settled on the Bissell and it arrived at my doorstep from Walmart last week. (Still trying NOT to use Amazon when there are alternatives.)

Yes, this is a game changer.

So easy to use, this little mop cleans the tile and the grout with a blast of reassuring steam and when I’m done, I just toss that little pad right into the washing machine.

No more heavy bucket, no more gross water, no more wet floors taking forever to dry.
