My husband and I are listening to an audiobook that includes many stories of survival in the wilderness. One thing’s for sure, if my man took off into the mountains, he’d not only survive, he’d have an Airbnb made of sticks and grizzly bear pelt up and running in about two weeks..with rudimentary plumbing and heat.
I, on the other hand, would be dead in two days. I’d be trying to snap the perfect picture of a sunset, trip into some deep crevasse, break both legs on the way down and begrudgingly be forced to accept my fate and just listen to my favorite pastor’s sermons until my i-phone battery and I went dead..
Which is a weird way indeed to segue into the point of this post..
Andy Stanley is the lead pastor at Buckhead Church in Atlanta. His, and his team’s, messages over the past few months have been so powerful I felt I absolutely had to tell you about them. One of the recent messages, a series entitled “Welcome to the Wilderness,” is especially thought provoking.
Let’s face it, life can feel like a trek through the wilderness. Why not equip yourself with messages of hope and encouragement, motivation and direction? I so recommend you scroll through their offerings, you are bound to find a title that speaks to you right where you are today.

PS– I took my mom to get her first Covid shot yesterday. All I can say is THANK-YOU to everyone who made it possible..starting with my daughter who snagged a ticket when they went up for grabs on the health dept website, to all of the volunteers who made the drive-thru event such a smooth and enjoyable (yes, I said enjoyable) experience for my mother. When I told the nurse administering the vaccine that I felt my mom had won the lottery, she said “Oh, this is so much better than the lottery..that’s just money, this is life!”
“Amen” to that sister!
As I have said before..this country is full of WONDERFUL people..you just won’t see them on the news tonight.
Glad everything went well so far!
