I spent some time over the past few days happily filling in my 2021 planner..until, that is, I got to the blank, mind map page.
Don’t laugh, I literally had to look it up..and now I get it. A mind map is a way to visually present a goal and the mechanisms/tasks/habits required to support and meet that goal.
You can spice up your mind map with colors and drawings but I did find examples where the artistic additions could possibly lead to confusion. I mean the mind map below is pretty to look at, but there’s too much going on visually for me.
These are examples of mind maps that more clearly and effectively lay out goals and supporting tasks: (notice the example on the left is a 2020 mind map including travel, family and friends.. ouch!)
So yeah..the mind map. I’ve got my magic markers ready..
