Do you remember that bad year for Christmas trees? It struck after a summer drought..
Or was it too much rain..
I forget.
Either way, it was a bad year for evergreens and people were in a panic about not being able to get their hands on any. In hindsight, especially this year, it’s hard to believe we got worked up about a bad year for Christmas trees. I mean this is shaping up to be a potentially bad year for Christmas itself.
Or maybe not..
The cashier at Hobby Lobby told me the other day that the store is smashing Christmas sales records and that their entire inventory is all on display and once it’s gone, that’s it! (Forget running out of toilet paper, if you want a wreath, you’d better grab one now.)
So who knows how it will go this year…I guess it’s up to each one of us.
I do remember that year! And yeah, it’s hard to imagine how much that bothered us, considering what we’re going through now. At least there are lots of tree lots this year…..
