One of our daughters, a serious health food devotee, and her husband gifted us with a Yonanas “ice-cream machine” last Christmas. Not gonna lie, it sat in the closet until a few weeks ago when it was drafted into service because my husband was told to cut back on sugar and fat- AND our freezer just so happened to be full of frozen, ripe bananas.

This little machine turns almost any frozen fruit into a creamy, frozen concoction that satisfies your every desire for ice-cream. Most of our recipes use at least one banana.. the more ripe (brown) it is, the stronger the flavor. (I prefer much less intense banana flavor, so I freeze my bananas as soon as they lose the green on their peel.)
My husband is now the self proclaimed head of the Yonanas creativity dept, and let me tell you, he’s good! Mango, strawberries, avocados, peaches, bananas of course.. his desserts are a treat we look forward to almost every night. The best one yet was bananas with fresh cherries and a tablespoon of chocolate chips- YOWZA, was that delish!!
