I spied the single dark cloud out of the corner of my eye and wondered which way it was headed. My husband and I were out on our morning walk and even though the weather report said no rain, it sure seemed likely to me..but what do I know?.. I’m no weather expert.
Then we heard thunder and decided to turn back..
This was one of those instant hard rains that you can hear approaching and within seconds we were enveloped in the deluge. I picked up our dog and we started to run.
Way too late.
Within 2 minutes we were hopelessly soaked down to the insoles in our sneakers– so we gave up running and just walked the rest of the way home.
Sometimes you make the right call..
sometimes you don’t..
Which is how I have viewed this entire Corona crisis from the moment it swept over the earth. I certainly don’t believe those in charge (of weather forecasting or Covid response) get up every morning with the goal of giving bad guidance..I honestly believe they are making the best decisions they can with the information they have- which by the way seems to change every day.
So now we are told we probably don’t need to be wiping down everything we touch with lysol. Hey..I am more than happy to dismantle my amazingly awesome garage sanitizing station.. but even so, I think I’ll always be a bit more careful and aware.
It can’t hurt to keep a small bottle of hand-sanitizer in my purse (or car) anymore than it does to carry a small umbrella on my walks..
you know, just in case.
