Looking back in judgement isn’t fair, so I rarely if ever dabble in woulda-coulda or shoulda. The last few months have been a dust storm; the way forward often obscured by the density and intensity of the rapidly developing crisis.
Ventilators, shut-downs, sending sick people to nursing homes, wearing masks-not wearing masks..it all looks much clearer with 20/20 hindsight. But what good is it to point fingers at each other..I just want to point forward.
Which is why I am recommending this podcast. It’s over an hour long, and there’s a ton of advertising upfront (maybe you can FF through it) but it offers a calm, “adult” assessment of where we are right now and how we (not collectively, but as different groups with different health concerns) can realistically move forward.
Friendly warning..there is some profanity and Dr. Katz is clearly not a fan of our President, but I like his nuanced approach to this phase and he offers us (dare I say it) hope..hope marinated in reality.
