The CEO of PG&E and the Governor of California had to make an announcement yesterday asking residents not to target utility employees. Several have been shot at, forced off the road and many have had their lives threatened.
Listen, I get it.
Between the fires and the black-outs I’m sure millions are quite literally going through hell.. but even so, can we all agree there are lines that shouldn’t be crossed?
Of course everything these days seems to be about crossing lines; lines of decency, lines of respect, lines of self control. Anger is oozing like rivers of lava, leveling the landscape of our country.
We keep this up and pretty soon there will only be stone and sky.
One should be asking what exactly PG&E is and has been doing to cause people to take direct action against their field units? Remember, there can come a point when violence is needed to protect one’s self, one’s family, and one’s property.

Pretty sure the guys in the field are doing what they normally do: power restoration, meter reading..

Yup..it’s awful, but not unprecedented. After one of the hurricanes (Irene?) people were roaming around looking for linemen and berating them for not getting to their neighborhoods first.
