Our kitchen/flooring project is FINALLY complete and we are thrilled with the result. Demo began August 7th, so start to finish the entire project took about 7 weeks.. (including a three day work stoppage when we evacuated to Tampa ahead of Hurricane Dorian.)
While the kitchen remodel itself was less disruptive than I imagined it would be, having all of the floors (in the entire house) ripped up and replaced was far more intense than I expected. Establishing a temporary living zone (including microwave, coffee maker, food, clothes, toothbrush etc) is one thing…having to relocate your “TLZ” to new areas of the house as tile work is chasing you from room to room.. now THAT is a whole different story.
But it’s done.. we got through it…and we are so happy to be enjoying peace and quiet again.
