Well, it’s day nine of our renovation. A kitchen is starting to take shape which is reassuring..👍There’s something a bit unnerving about having a big pile of dirt and a hole in the ground.. INSIDE your home.

So yeah, I appreciate this next phase.

It’s also nice to have folks show up every day.

I remember, years ago, when we had a pool put in behind our Miami home, a huge team of men showed up on day one with big, earth moving equipment.  Much to the delight of my son, there was plenty of noise and yelling and digging and then..

nothing..

for days..

and days.

And then it started to rain, South Florida style..

and it rained..

and rained..

I thought surely our house would slide right into the muddy abyss. (Needless to say they had to re-dig the hole) The entire project took forever thanks to long periods of time when no one would bother to show.

“Showing up” is so important to progress..not matter what you are doing.
