Sensitivity to sound..
I typed it into the google bar and a whole bunch of ‘seriously serious’ stuff came up. Luckily I’m not manic and I’m not bi-polar so my low noise threshold isn’t a symptom of either..but the older I get, the more I crave quiet.
Or maybe it’s really the peace in ‘peace and quiet’ I’m longing for..because I do like to have soft, relaxing jazz playing in the background during the day; background being the key word. So it’s not like I need it to be totally silent..just peaceful.
My husband, on the other hand, walks around the house and yard with his portable Bose speaker connected to his waistband, 80’s rock blaring so loud he can never hear me when I call his name.. and he loves it.
My music is a subtle enhancement to my day. Like a diminutive pair of diamond stud earrings; you have to pay close attention to know they’re even there. My husband’s music, on the other hand, is front and center.. more like a face-tattoo.
Stranger still, while my hearing is getting more and more sensitive, his is going the other way..
Good times.
Hahaha…I can so identify with this ! Love the picture of the rabbit. I too crave quiet.
Interesting that ‘ peace and quiet ‘ are two words usually used together ! đ€

isn’t it interesting? just as certain images and colors affect us, sound also has an impact which may be different for everyone.
