Poopageddon

The “debris field” was unlike anything I’d ever seen

and we’ve had all kinds of dogs..

big ones,

small ones..

(cats too ..)

But this..

this was astounding.

I discovered it as I was walking out the front door,

in my nice dress..with make up on..carrying my good purse.

I tried to unsee it..

but I’m not a 12 year old

can’t play dumb

and silently slip away on my ten speed..

(those were the good ol’ days)

No, I’m an adult,

and this is my house..

my problem,

and there was no escaping

POOPAGEDDON

or more accurately,

‘poop-again-in-den.’

So I

put down my purse,

kicked off my shoes,

made a quick phone call

“Hey..something’s come up..I’m running late..”

Grabbed the flag

(😉)

paper towels..

trash bag..

bucket..

rag..

latex gloves,

overpriced enzyme cleaner,

you know..

the usual arsenal.

Doo-doo disasters remind me of smashed lightbulbs

and dropped wine glasses.

Clean-up is a multi-phased, multi-pronged, multi-layered quick action response.

And if it’s not performed comprehensively

and correctly

you just know someone’s bare foot is going pay the price.

And yeah, today this little girl ate nothing but rice.

    • Who knows what’s wrong..we are on day 2 of this..😩..running out of patience AND paper towels..but it’s hard not to feel sorry for the little thing..she’s such a good girl, this is not fun for her.

      • My dog tends to eat junk off the ground (but she won’t eat rice cakes if I drop a piece, so there’s dog logic for you) so unfortunately I’m intimate with dog digestive issues. Hoping she’s better soon!

      • Today was lean hamburger beef and rice..she LOVES it. No throwing up, so that’s a good sign…no “activity” of any kind really..so that’s either real good news..or she’s saving it up for some midnight tour of the house…😩..I’m thinking she got into something..either in the house or on one of our walks..It’s Florida..there’s tropical coodies everywhere.
