Mom and I had lunch yesterday at Paneras. The restaurant, usually bustling between noon and 2 pm, was almost empty thanks to a rumor in town that the recent outbreak of Hepatitis-A started there.
I talked about it to the girl making our sandwiches who just shrugged her shoulders and said “no one’s been sick here.”
I first heard the chatter about Paneras at the hairdresser over two weeks ago. If this were a mom and pop establishment, they’d probably go out of business.
Words have the potential to build up or destroy; choose them wisely.
