My husband called from out of town one night. Half way through our conversation he said, “Wow, I really think I’m lost!” He had been walking through an unfamiliar part of a city trying to find his hotel. The poor guy was exhausted after a long day and felt like a mouse in a maze.
There are two kinds of being lost: One is you know where you want to be but can’t figure out how to get there, the other is when you know where you are but don’t know where you’re going. Both can be upsetting.
It’s at times like these when we need to open our minds and hearts to God’s word and his guidance. When the fog settles over our lives and we can’t see a way forward, the best thing to do is to be still, and listen for His voice.
Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
