There are times when the path forward is so murky that you don’t have a clue which way to turn; when complicated variables seem to cancel each other out leaving no clear answer on how to proceed. It’s at moments like these that reassuring words, like Jeremiah 29:11, release the pressure so that peace and confidence can take hold again.
You see, even though I may not be able to see through the cloud of confusion, I know God is positioned high above the storm. I’m also comforted by the knowledge that His perfect plan for my life doesn’t hinge on any decisions I make. His desire to “grow me” into the fullness of His perfect vision will unfold regardless of the (mis)steps I take. And while that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be thoughtful and deliberate about my choices, it simply confirms that I need not be paralysed by the process of making them.
Have you ever had moments when God’s guiding hand is so evident in your life you can almost sense Him in front of you, clearing the road He wants you to travel?
