Yeah..I know. Who would spend $399 on a hairdryer? I get it! I personally would never have considered it- ever – until I visited my daughter this past summer and used her Dyson every morning to dry and style my hair.
I cannot tell a lie, this hair dryer is fantastic and deserves a mention in Friday Favorites.
You see, as I get older I’ve found that my hair is not only getting duller and “split-endier,” but I was losing enough to weave a new welcome mat every time I used my blowdryer! 😳 The Dyson seems to limit hair damage because the process is so much faster without having to raise the heat. Does that mean it’s worth $399? Well, I’m still not sure I would have forked over all that cash but, full disclosure, my kids went in on it together and bought it for my birthday.. so YAY!
If you look on Amazon, (where the Dyson has 4 stars) the negative reviews seem to be focused primarily on counterfeits (how does that happen? 🤔) and motors that died. I have never had a problem with mine, but for these reasons alone, I’d recommend purchasing something this expensive at a local, brick and mortar, store like Sephora so you can easily return if needed. This product costs the same wherever you buy it and as far as I can tell, the hairdryer itself is never on sale.
As an added bonus, Daisy loves the Dyson too..just look at that poofy-doo of hers, haha. I simply attach the diffuser (magnetic, so it’s a breeze) and she happily lays on her towel while I dry her after a bath. 🐶 Maybe she doesn’t mind it because it runs so much quieter than my old jet-engine blowdryer.
So does that make it worth $399….?
