I am not ashamed to admit that I have used my credit card to purchase a pair of $1.99 tweezers at Walgreens. Hey, don’t roll those eyes, each dollar spent is a point or two that counts towards a “free” hotel stay and by golly, I’m collecting..
every single one.
I don’t know “what’s in your wallet” but I swear I can hear the ocean when I pull my Marriott VISA out of mine.
Below are pictures I took this past summer when we finally cashed in our 2 night hotel “reward.”

Three amazing pools,
2 hot jacuzzis
and I’m sure if I had looked, I’d have found a partridge in a palm tree.
(Value? According to Marriott – 40,000 points.)
So after this glorious week-end of free lodging the VISA-rewards-counter is sadly back at zero.
But that’s OK, my husband needs some shaving cream.
And you know what they say..A journey of a hundred thousand zillion points begins with one tiny purchase.

Nice to get those rewards for stuff you use anyway….I have one card that gives me airline points – while I fly PLENTY it’s nice to fly to see family for free once in awhile.

Yup! Which airline do you use? We had SouthWest for a while..but I don’t fly enough to ever get enough points… you have to have a billion zillion points to ever get anything these days.. 😏

Usually Delta or United….they seem to have more options for where I’m usually stuck going. 🙂

Yeah, we’ve never had those. I guess it really comes down to where you live and where you travel to most.
