Life can’t make you happy, but happiness can make your life!
Every once in a while, I stumble across a great TED talk and this one, delivered by Shawn Achor, is worth sharing. The guy speaks a bit fast for my taste- non-stop stream of consciousness style presentation..but if you sit down with a cup of coffee and pay close attention, you’ll catch on to his dry sense of humor and get a lot out of his presentation on happiness.
The last segment of the presentation, creating lasting positive change, also flies by- so I’ve listed the five things he says you should perform daily to create happiness in your life:
- Write down three things you are grateful for every day.
- Journal about one good thing that has happened in the past 24 hours.
- Exercise.
- Meditate.
- Participate in random acts of kindness.
Strap in- he does talk fast, but he has a lot to say!
And for those who want more, this hour-long talk at GOOGLE is even better:
