Two weeks ago, my twenty year old daughter had her tonsils removed. Needless to say, smoothies were a big part of her diet-especially on those days when her throat was really sore. Boy- was I happy we had recently replaced our old, cheap blender with the Ninja!!
I’ll admit it, the thing looks like something you’d see on TV for 6 easy payments of $19.99. It’s not at all attractive. That was one of the main reasons I hesitated, but the excellent reviews I read convinced me to give it a try.
What can I say, this thing is the bomb! I don’t know how we ever put up with our old wimpy blender. Margaritas, smoothies, cream soups, salsa, nuts, ice cubes..it crushes, chops, purees, dices, mixes and blends everything with ease. I love that it came with a food processor, a large pitcher and a single serving container as well.
I picked ours up (in the configuration above) at Bed Bath & Beyond because their 20% off coupon brought the price down even lower than Amazon’s. ($144)
So yeah, it’s ugly and loud, but it works like a dream- I totally recommend it.
i just got one too and am just starting to play with it – i love it

😀 It seemed like a good pick..others looked good too but were SO expensive. Just couldn’t justify spending $300 and up- Honestly, I bet this model is just as good as they are.- Have fun with it!

I bought a Ninja quite a few years ago already at a Walgreens. It’s much smaller but it works so awesome, I get a lot of use out of mine. Just have to be very careful with those blades! Frozen margaritas are super easy! When the grandkids get bigger I can make them slushies or icees. Fun! Glad you had it when you needed it!!!
