I have given up.
I’m done trying to manage my fears.
I’m going to refocus on love.
What intrigues me most about the verse above is the relationship between
love, fear and perfection.
Most of us fear “falling short.”
Be it at work, in relationships, the way we look, the way we act, the decisions we make..
Maybe being judged is our ultimate fear;
being judged
by others and most often..
ourselves.
That’s what’s so interesting about God..
He reassures us over and over and over in the bible that we are forgiven. He wants us to live in the freedom of knowing that personal perfection cannot be attained on earth – and that it’s OK because He has us covered. (Romans 3:23-24)
💜
So I wonder..
is accepting the fact that you aren’t perfect,
that others aren’t perfect,
that life itself isn’t perfect,
the foundational basis
for ‘perfect’ love..
and therefore the ultimate antidote to fear?
