Turmeric is a bright orangey-yellow spice common in Indian and Chinese cooking and often recommended as an herbal cure for upset stomach and many other ailments. It is considered to be an anti-inflammatory and to have anti-oxidant effects. Add some powdered Turmeric to rice with a little cumin or coriander, some raisins and cashews. Be careful though, this spice will stain if you get it on your clothes!
