We toasted ourselves at dinner last night and laughed about how old we were getting.
We joked about our ‘aches and pains’ and marveled at how time had flown.
We basked in the glow of shared golden memories, compared our concerns for today and our hopes for tomorrow.
It’s been almost twenty years, eleven of them lived as neighbors… six kids (and two naughty dogs) running back and forth between our porches.
Everything has changed, but so much has stayed the same, most importantly the easy way we simply pick up where we left off -no matter how long it’s been since we’ve seen each other.
Here’s to friendships that stand the test of time.
